Certification Application
A testing application towards an automatic test of IFC compliance developed by Peter Bonsma
Certification and testing of application is still a problem, especially considering 3D geometry. This also constistutes a problem with the acceptence of IFC in general: If things go wrong or loose a considerable amount of precision, the uptake of IFC in day-to-day work will be slowed.
The current international certification problem by buildingSMART is a slow process and invloves much human work. To overcome this problem, Peter Bonsma from TNO has begun to develop a tool to support automation of this testing and certification.
